Editor, Gazette-Journal:

March 12 at Newington Baptist Church was Youth Sunday, and church youth took over the service. The theme for the day was “Apathy.”

Victoria King opened with the morning prayer, Walker and others took up the offering. I was proud of my buddy Manuel being upon the stage and giving his testimony, how much God meant to him.

We started with Victoria reading Romans 13:9. My buddy Pearce had done an amazing reading Matthew 18:1-9.

I thank the youth group for doing such an excellent job with the service. I enjoyed it and found it inspirational. We sang one of my favorites, “Bless the Lord.”
