Editor, Gazette-Journal:
So my personal health information that is supposed to be guarded zealously is being shared with a group of boys who have zero security clearance. My financial records, IRS filings, my charitable donations, banking account numbers, etc., all are readily accessible. There used to be laws to safeguard against this but apparently not anymore. Who needs watchdogs? Good thing Musk has fired them all. Think of the savings.
Those of you getting SNAP benefits, Medicaid, SSI—don’t be alarmed. Your IRS information is being reviewed and many of you will be deemed not entitled to these benefits but hey, you probably weren’t really in need. Your personal health information including any “miscarriages” is being reviewed and shared. In Virginia, where abortions are legal, there is some temporary protection at the state level but not at the federal level where abortions are soon to be deemed illegal. Access to your personal information is now available at the touch of a button. Since women are not smart enough to look out for themselves, it’s good that the man is happy to take care of you.
The National Institutes of Health is being shut down and patients who are receiving lifesaving research are on their own. Since we want people to be more responsible for self-care, that’s a good thing, no? Veterans who had trouble getting care are now in longer waits because the VA has fired thousands. Know any vets? Be sure and thank them for their service.
Know anyone in HeadStart? Well, maybe they can send their kids somewhere else for early education since that is being shut down as well. Hey, maybe grandma can watch the kids? Or maybe all the people fired from the fed jobs can help out.
Like the world’s richest man said, “we gotta root out the waste and fraud.” You can thank him later.
