As a taxpayer of Gloucester County and a resident of the Woods Cross Roads area, there is a major issue that needs to be addressed immediately for the safety of us all. The intersection at Woods Cross Roads that joins Route 17 north- and southbound has claimed lives and been the root of numerous accidents in general.

There have been attempts to make the area safer in multiple ways. Nothing that has been done has worked thus far. This area needs a traffic light to exit Woods Cross Roads and to enter into Wood Cross Roads from southbound Route 17 the next intersection past Woods Cross Roads should be used. Then to enter Davenport Road from Route 17 North, the intersection past that one could be used as well. That cuts down the multiple directions of travel trying to use that one intersection.
