Editor, Gazette-Journal:

In the Sept. 16 issue of the Gazette-Journal, a reader expressed interest in the political signs under the Confederate flag (“Just wondering,” Readers Write). My answer to her question “Anyone else just wondering?” is no, and wonder no more.

Have you “noticed” the signs across from North Star Mart? Do they cause you to wonder about lunch? Or do you understand that every sign has its own message?

Dave Jones’s sign says he stands for “Honesty, Integrity and Transparency for All Citizens.” As a free citizen in a free country, you are free to fly any flag you choose and support any candidate you like.

I think she got the wrong message.
