Letter: Wittman’s record on women’s issues

When women succeed, America succeeds. But, for years, the women of the 1st Congressional District have been underserved and underrepresented in Congress.

Since he came to Congress, Rob Wittman has consistently voted against the interests of women. He has voted “No” on: equal pay for equal work, child care assistance for working moms, paid family and medical leave, strengthening the violence against women act, and the GI Bill that helps servicewomen retrain for jobs in our communities.

Women deserve better.  Women deserve a representative who will fight for them, and not just vote as his Republican leaders want him to in their war on women.

On Nov. 4, we have a chance to send a Representative to Congress who will fully represent the interests of women in the 1st District by electing Norm Mosher to Congress.
