Editor, Gazette-Journal: The House of Representatives passed the Women’s Health Protection Act last Friday, which essentially nullifies most of the pro-life laws in the U.S. The bill passed with 218 Democrats voting for and 210 Republicans voting against the bill. One Democrat also voted against the bill. Proverbs 6:16 and 17 states: “There are six things the Lord hates … [one of which is] Hands that shed innocent blood.” That correctly describes abortion, because unborn children still in their mother’s womb are certainly innocent, and abortion certainly sheds their blood. If you did’t know before where the two parties stood on the abortion issue, you should know now. So, with whom do you stand and for whom will you vote?
