Letter: Will we survive?

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Toys for Tots Middle Peninsula may be operated by the Middle Peninsula Detachment #1317 Marine Corps League and a host of volunteers, but without the tremendous generosity of one man, Ellis Hall, it could never have prospered into the program it is today. Unfortunately, due to the sale of the warehouse last year, this program faces no longer being available on the Middle Peninsula.

We survived because of the generosity of Safe Harbor Storage which donated storage space allowing us to keep some bulk items and what few remaining toys we have. 

We survived conducting our 2018 campaign because of the generosity of Harvey Morgan who gave us enough space in which to gather, sort and ready the toys for distribution.

We survived accepting tractor-trailers’ worth of Gift in Kind toys such as Legos and others because of the generosity of Riverside Brick & Supply Company, Saluda, who unloaded the trucks and delivered our items to us.
