Letter: Will He listen?

Editor, Gazette-Journal: America’s “250 Years” beautiful celebrations are over. The battle cry continues to resound as we daily face the subtle and obvious threats to our republic. Well-written letters to the editor in the June 25 edition of the Gazette-Journal were overflowing with anti-Trump and Wittman sentiments. Some hinted at “blind” and “mystical” support for Trump. Over the course of 250 years, both Democrat and Republican parties slowly transformed their principles and names into unthinkable contradictions to their original goals. Democratic voters, knowingly or not, are now supporting communist and Islamist goals while Republican voters, knowingly or not, support a global financial and military complex funded by unending wars. Then along came Trump, exposing both parties of abandonment of “We the People” and breaking long-held political and financial strongholds in and out of Congress.
