If you ask The Weather Channel, they will tearfully tell that it’s our fault. Then tearfully, again, complain about our dirty car and airplane exhausts and cow flatulence. They won’t mention that trees love CO2, along with the bonus that trees give off O2 (necessary for human existence).
Cosmic causes of weather tell a different story. For one, at summer solstice (June 20), the earth’s tilt is 23 degrees N, the sun’s rays are directly over the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere (4th grade geography). Fortunately, the earth is at aphelion (furthest point in its orbit around the sun). We could be thankful that it could be hotter but for, at aphelion, the earth is about 3 million miles further out in space from the sun than at either equinox, giving the Northern Hemisphere milder summers. Another not-so-obvious blessing is that the earth actually makes the turn at aphelion to continue on its God-ordained orbit instead of shooting off into space.
