Letter: Who is responsible for pedestrian safety?

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This photo of the sidewalk along Gloucester’s Main Street was taken this past Friday, a full week after the first snowflakes fell.

My concern is for the safety of those walking on this hazardous sidewalk. Who is responsible for its removal? The owner? The building’s tenant? The state? The county?

There were also ice patches on the new handicap-accessible crosswalks on Main Street.

There are two potholes in the Main Street Center.

When leaves are falling in autumn, leaves were being swept, blown and pushed into storm drains. A buildup of leaves results in blockages.
