Editor, Gazette-Journal: Concerts By The Bay, the Virginia Commission of the Arts, and Mathews Community Foundation presented The Holiday Band this past Sunday the 26th. They were wonderful and sang so many original songs for all of us that remember those good old days. It was a tribute to Good Ole Beach Music. Attendees received leis as they were greeted at the door. Many folks got up and danced to the tunes in the aisles of the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School. After the concert we received so many compliments from our guests about The Holiday Band how wonderful they were. We were so happy that our audience enjoyed our last band of the season. Concerts By The Bay would like to acknowledge the Mathews Community Foundation for their support for us to bring an exceptional band to our communities.
