Thank you, Gazette-Journal, for publishing a well-written and informative article about Gavin Grimm as he continues his battle to use the restroom of his choice.

Both your article in the Feb. 9 issue of the paper and the National Geographic TV documentary presented a clear picture of his struggles as a transgender teenager and the difficulties he has faced as he seeks equal rights, not only for himself but for all transgender people.

I was impressed by how outgoing, well-spoken and dedicated he is and wish him success in his Supreme Court case. Your reporter did an excellent job of writing about a hot button topic in a caring and compassionate way. With information and facts come understanding and acceptance, not fear and hate.
