Letter: We left smiling and with hope

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am writing with a great sense of gratitude and relief and to thank the Mathews Branch NAACP for the well-organized COVID-19 shot clinic. How nice to get your somewhat dreaded shot amongst friends and near home. Someone on the museum staff offered to drive me home, though I thanked her and drove home feeling elated and loved.

The Three Rivers Health District and Middle Peninsula RACE (Region Adult Career Education) were involved. We all were given grab bags with goodies (useful) and information. We left smiling and with hope.

Thank you, Edith Turner, John Caramia and yes, once again, all the volunteers—and Three Rivers Health District employees.
