Letter: We have work to do

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Spring has come and the daffodils are blooming. Something else is blooming—our resolves and commitments.

Again I attended a meeting with over 100 people from Mathews, Gloucester and Middlesex counties this past weekend. Our frustration with this president continues to grow. What has happened to the Republican Party? I used to sometimes vote Republican—never again. I thought they were better than what I’m seeing.

What outrageous excuses the party continues to make for the lies, tweets and antics of this self-indulgent man. If you are as resolved and concerned as we are, please attend our next circle-up meeting from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at the Gwynn’s Island Civic Center. We have work to do.
