Letter: We both love our country

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This is in reference to Mark Truscott’s letter (“Another view on gun control,” March 1 Readers Write). It’s nice to read that Mr. Truscott reads my letters in the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal. I do not feel at liberty to call him Mark.

It’s good for us all to express our opinions. I try and share my opinions and views without insulting anyone. Sorry if my letters get under the skin of some of the readers of this paper.

The right directional is still intact in my car, as I do go left and right and I want my intent to be known to those around me. That was funny though.

The AR-15 would have been a better weapon for me to have carried in Vietnam. Better than the M-16. The AR-15 is lighter weight, more accurate and it’s easier to change the clip. I was military trained, as were many others, on how to use a weapon of war. That’s why I find it unacceptable for just anyone to have a weapon like the AR-15.
