Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I’m going to be short and to the point. Gloucester County’s current sheriff, Darrell Warren, is the best candidate to continue in that position. He has worked for our sheriff’s department for 21 years under two very different leaders. I know from experience that when you work under different leadership, you learn many valuable things: i.e., what you want to continue and what you want to do differently.
Sheriff Warren has impressed me as being an honest person, a level-headed leader, a caring family man and a good friend to many. He is dedicated to his job and is highly respected by those who work with and for him. He is trustworthy and does what he says he’s going to do. He is hard-working, a good decision-maker and a good listener. He respects the opinions of others and makes good use of the expertise of the people who surround him.
He has proven he can serve Gloucester in the capacity of sheriff. He has experienced every aspect of that job. Now, please do your job as citizens of Gloucester County and go out and vote on June 12 for Warren in the Republican primary. You do not have to be a Republican; you just have to care what happens in your community.
