Letter: War crimes?

Editor, Gazette-Journal: Democrats, the ever-loyal media, and now local activists continue to whip up a story about “war crimes” committed by the Trump administration in destroying the drug boats. They thought they had something from the Washington Post that claimed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered a second strike to kill survivors in the water. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA), and others were “outraged” by the strike and suggested the troops should follow the Constitution, not Trump. This follows a familiar Democratic and media pattern. Take any claim, add a few assumptions and innuendos, sprinkle a few facts, and hope to have a new anti-Trump story. Remember when the laptop was not Hunter’s? The “Russia-Russia” hoax? You can keep your doctor? And don’t forget all the claims that President Biden was sharp as a tack. Fortunately, the latest Democratic attempt to create a false story was shot down by sworn testimony before a congressional committee. ...
