I haven’t written a Letter to the Editor for a little while. But now I am so concerned with the direction the Trump administration is trying to lead our country, I have to take my pen in hand and write about my concerns!
Calling American admirals and generals from where they are stationed from all over the world to attend a meeting led by an unqualified former O4 who is now the Secretary of Defense, and their travel expenses, paid by taxpayers, for what? To listen to the Secretary of Defense trying to advise the highest ranked and experienced officers of our varied military branches on how to perform their jobs! And then listen to our president rambling on about sending our military into Blue states to quell non-existent attacks by citizens? Trump wants to use our military against U.S. citizens of our country! This use of our military is illegal and restricted by Federal Law by the Possee Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C. 1385).
