Letter: Vote pro-life

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Abortion is legal in the United States, but it goes against our basic beliefs and Judeo-Christian values. Here are some examples.

The Declaration of Independence cites the “right to life” as the first of our rights, but the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision denies that right to unborn children.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag pledges “justice for all,” but the greatest injustice is the shedding of innocent blood of unborn children.

“In God We Trust” is our motto. We trust God, but legalizing abortion shows Him we can’t be trusted to obey the “Thou shall not murder” Commandment.

Our judicial system is based on innocent until proven guilty, especially when the death penalty is possible. However, the Supreme Court authorized each pregnant woman to be the entire judicial system to decide if the death penalty is carried out on her obviously innocent, unborn child.
