Letter: Vote and be heard, a reconstruction

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I offer my own version of Dawn Dale’s “Vote and be heard” letter (Aug. 25 Readers Write), which I constructed by little more than substituting “Trump” for “Clinton” in her letter. Changes are shown in parentheses:

This upcoming election is extremely important and every voter must vote, even if they don’t like either candidate, because our right to vote was purchased by those who risked everything to make it ours.

(Trump) can only be stopped by those who believe “enough is enough.” Since the (1980s, he has) bought (his) way to power with money and threats, and if there are doubts about this, read some of the reports published over the years that are filled with (his) actions, yet (he) is still free and trying very hard to grab power.

Morals and faith are just words to (him), used only to make (him) look better. (He) couldn’t get this far unless weak politicians allowed it to happen. Please rea...
