Letter: Use care when bonding

When one feels that his beliefs and ideals have been challenged, it’s only natural to seek like-minded individuals to bond with. However, it would be wise to thoroughly research and vet any organization before joining. Take, for example, MoveOn.org, which has issued a challenge for people to invite one another into their homes and become a supportive community group to pursue agendas in the areas of affordable health care, the green environment and immigration, among others.

While these issues are well-intentioned ideals for the average person, MoveOn.org’s pursuit of them is not innocent at all. Aside from the fact that the Constitution gives the federal government zero authority over health care and the environment (so any involvement in those areas is unconstitutional), the promotion of those two issues is actually a vehicle to help achieve a sustainability agenda of the United Nations.
