Letter: Up to the task at hand

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Time has passed in Gloucester County; the government has changed in governance several times over the past several years. We are currently in a phase where the current board of supervisors is gaining ground in balancing the annual budgets and attempting to attract more business to the county with less taxes and built-in controls.

Over the same period, the population has increased, which necessitated the change in our election districts to balance the equality of the voting process. At the same time, change in representation took place. Gloucester Point elected a liberal representative whose record of accomplishment supports raising taxes, supporting taxes that restrict or totally retard opportunity for business growth. Additionally, this year he voted against the new budget that is the most conservative financial document created in decades of fiscal management within the county by our elected officials.
