Although neither the teamsters nor the firefighters unions will be supporting Harris, the union that represents the nation’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents strongly backs her. Their union press release praised Harris because she “delivered agency budgets that provide federal employees with additional staffing and resources, including significant new investments to rebuild the IRS under the Inflation Reduction Act.” That additional staffing amounts to 87,000 new agents who will have $45 billion more for “enforcement.”

Also, VP Harris promises $25K to everyone (including illegals) seeking to purchase their first home, and $50K to everyone (including illegals) seeking to start a new business. She promises to build 3 million new low income/high density homes. Where will these dollars come from? The government cannot earn money; it can only come from taxation. You may have heard that she will tax only the rich. Then why does she need 87,000 more agents with $45 billion to use to go after this relatively small group?

Harris’s election speech promises make it clear that she is going to be a huge spender, and she has put a well-funded mechanism (the big new IRS) in place to collect the monies for these schemes. If you think she will only be taxing the rich, think again.
