Letter: Unacceptable

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I hope the contractor buys Gary Ward a new awning. This would send a message that VDOT understands what was done (Main Street paving project rattles drivers, business owners, Gazette-Journal, Oct. 29) was unacceptable.

In addition, I would like to suggest that, since the whole project is being done in a piecemeal fashion, common sense would have dictated that the Edgehill intersection be completed at the beginning of the project. Then again … ?

Also, a huge thanks to the person who, after over a year went by, took the five minutes to fix the drainage down at the Farm Fresh intersection. You know, the intersection that VDOT spent several hundred thousand dollars re-engineering, widening and vastly improving a couple of years ago; the intersection that sported our very own (and free) Water Country every time it rained. I trust that VDOT was not responsible for fixing this because it looks like the work was done with a shovel.
