Letter: Two Marches for Life

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This past June, the Supreme Court issued its Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that overturned Roe v Wade, which had legalized abortion in the United States. Although Pro Lifers won a major battle with the Dobbs decision, the war on pregnant women and unborn children is continuing at the state level.

Some of the bills proposed/passed on the state level are worse than those before Roe was overturned. Thankfully, many states are still allowing abortions for miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, or when a pregnant woman’s life is in danger.

The annual National March for Life in Washington, D.C. will start with a rally on the mall at noon on Jan. 20. Virginia’s March for Life will start at noon on Feb. 1. If you can’t attend either march, please continue to pray and work for the end of inconvenient abortions in the U.S.
