Letter: Trimming the fat

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
After attending last week’s budget meeting, I would like to give public praise to York District supervisor Phillip Bazzani. Although cut short by chairman John Meyer, I appreciate the fact that he went through the administrator’s budget line-by-line, and made it very apparent to the public there was plenty of “fat” that could be trimmed from the proposed budget. 
This is exactly the type of oversight and accountability we need from our supervisors; good on you, Mr. Baz-
zani. I hope our board can allot Mr. Bazzani the time needed to vocalize his concerns and will listen to his points made about trimming out some of the budgets line items that we can postpone or do without.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Bazzani, and please don’t stop being the squeaky wheel; my household finances depend on it. And for the record, I am opposed to raising county taxes for the purpose of providing raises; to lower a person’s wages to raise anot...
