Just a few questions and comments about the Seabreeze situation.

Why is Mathews getting transparent with the rental of this property after 34 years?

How could someone forget their renewal is due?

Who owns the building? The county, the state or both?

Who pays the insurance and upkeep?

Do the people of Mathews really want the building raised up and all the other suggestions that were implied in the Gazette-Journal report?

If someone is going to put $100,000 into changing the building, there won’t be many $5 meals.

Paying the rent up front for a year won’t make much of a difference.

What’s really going on? Be transparent.

Just questions and comments, that’s all.
