I for one am tired of hearing about the Confederate monument!

I was reared in Mathews and graduated from Mathews High School in 1954. I never heard the term Confederate monument. It was and still remains a tribute to the soldiers and sailors of Mathews.

Why does someone always try to make something out of nothing? People need to get their heads out of dark places and move to constructive issues.

If you want to deed the monument, deed it to the non-political “Future Farmers of America.”
