Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Our home is now in North Carolina, but our hearts will always be in Mathews County. Our children attended Mathews schools and we currently have grandchildren attending Mathews High School. We strongly encourage you to elect Bambi Thompson to the school board in the upcoming election. Bambi is like family. We have had the pleasure of spending quality time with her and her family for over 20 years.

The citizens of Mathews County are lucky that Bambi has decided to take on this role as a service to our community. She retired after serving for 30 years as a teacher and principal. She is currently working as a coach for the Virginia Department of Education, providing support to teachers and administrators in struggling schools in the Commonwealth. She has the qualities and experience needed to support the current board and children of Mathews.

Please exercise your right to vote on Nov. 7 with a vote for Bambi.
