Our treasurer is a keeper.

I feel it is very important for the citizens of Gloucester to re-elect Tara Thomas. Her record and credentials are exemplary—all that’s needed for the office. That is sufficient for her to receive the support and vote of the people she has served well for 19 years, but there are other reasons. The two that mean a lot to me are her integrity and her volunteer commitment to Gloucester.

I was not always the family member responsible for paying taxes, but it didn’t take experience to pay a bill you receive. However, one year the bill to pay my taxes in December went astray (probably lost in my Christmas mail). I received a delinquent bill with a sizeable fine. I thought that the explanation would erase the fine. It did not. Tara explained it was my responsibility to pay taxes twice a year on time.
