Having known Tara Thomas personally for many years, I have found her to be a very thoughtful, highly intelligent, and dedicated public servant who has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to the Treasurer’s Office as well as to Gloucester County and its citizens.

Reading her campaign information, I found more about her education, background, and experience in finance and in governmental administration. There was plenty of information about what she and her office have accomplished over the past 19 years, including accreditation from the Treasurer’s Association of Virginia and a 99 percent tax collection rate, for starters.

In addition to her superb qualifications to serve as Gloucester Treasurer, I have personally witnessed her tireless work and devotion in support of the Guinea Heritage Foundation and Guinea Jubilee.
