Letter: This is who we are; this is Gloucester

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Board of Supervisors’ chair Ashley Chriscoe, with the overwhelming support of the residents who came to last Tuesday night’s meeting, submitted the unanimously supported resolution declaring Gloucester County as a “Second Amendment Sanctuary.” Mr. Chriscoe has his finger on the pulse of Gloucester County residents and his actions reflect our clear and unambiguous voice. By “our” voice I mean the collective voice of our community. There is also a minority opposition to this sanctuary movement and those voices cannot be discounted, only overwhelmed.

I am proud of my fellow Gloucester County residents for speaking their minds in our historic, colonial courthouse. We don’t have to agree with everything our friends believe to respect and love them.
