The Supreme Court handed down a decision restricting federal judges’ ability to impose nationwide injunctions against policies issued by the President. Here are a few things President Trump can now push through.
—End federal funding for sanctuary cities. These cities are openly violating federal law and putting lives in danger as a consequence. A price will now be paid for those policies.
—USAID funding. The administration can move ahead with its efforts to move USAID into the State Department and end funding for NGOs that are using the money for progressive causes. Trump froze $2 billion but a Washington judge ordered payments to continue. They will stop now.
—Voter ID. Trump can now push ahead with efforts to overhaul election law through an executive order that can require strong voter ID and proof of citizenship. It can also prohibit states from counting ballots received after Election Day. This effort was begun but was halted after 19 states (all blue) sue...
