Letter: They have served their customers well

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

If you’ve lived in Gloucester for a while, you probably purchased something from Tri-County Furniture. Quite a busy place at one time. With Mrs. Dunn and Harris holding down the office and Mr. Johnston selling furniture, it was always quite active. Not sure how much stuff we’ve purchased there over the years but was always satisfied with their products. Now the old hotel and furniture store are for sale and under contract. They most likely will remain open until the property is purchased. The Booker family has been in business for decades.

So many good memories. I worked there quite a few holiday periods when the Shipyard had their annual shutdown. They always treated me well. I enjoyed stopping by and talking to Calvin, Al, Roane and Dianna. You could find out all the Court House news. Calvin usually talked about hunting and fishing and Al the Boston Red Sox.
