Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This is in reference to “A different story to tell” (Aug. 28 Readers Write) from Nancy Sweet concerning two young black men who came to her aid.

I just want her to know that one of the young men was my brother Torrance Berry. He had called me to tell me about the incident. I am not surprised at what he did because that’s the way he is.

He works at Walmart and was outside on his lunch break when he heard someone calling for help. He ran over to help her get up. Another young man came to help him, but we don’t know his name.

If Torrance can help somebody along the way, he’s going to do it. If you’re in Walmart again just look for his smiling face. There are a lot of good people in this world and Torrance is one of them.

We hope Mrs. Sweet is recovering and doing okay.
