The murder of Charlie Kirk for his political views was a terrible moment for our country. Freedom of speech is one of our most cherished political traditions.
That inalienable right must be preserved no matter how many bullets the thugs on the fringe of politics shoot at us. The horror of that moment is eclipsed by the nobility of the soul as expressed by Erika Kirk at the funeral service for her husband. Thank God for Erika Kirk.
The teary, heart-rending moment when Erika forgave the foolish, despicable churl who slew her beloved husband should be a lesson to us all. The online cancel culture mob is a pack of hissing snakes calling for people to lose their jobs, their friends, and their lives over political differences. The Golden Rule has all but been forgotten online and in the popular culture.
Erika Kirk shows us a better way.
