Letter: The real meaning

Happy Easter everyone! Easter is one of the most important religious holidays and is normally celebrated in April. You must have thought as a kid that Easter was all about Peter Cottontail aka the Easter Bunny, candy and colored eggs.

Right? Wrong.

Easter is really about the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ being nailed to the cross, also on how he arose from his grave. I remember fondly on studying this as a kid on Easter Sunday, in Sunday School.

Easter is a good time to gather with our loved ones and reflect upon how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ risked his own life for us, to wash away our sins by being nailed to the cross.
