Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Well, the preseason is over and the race for governor is officially on.

In the left corner, we have a proud socialist democrat and anti-Second Amendment NRA fighter Ralph Northam, who vows to keep on doing the idiotic things his predecessor has done here in Virginia. And in the right corner, we have Republicrat Ed Gillespie, who barely beat the most qualified contender by having a third party siphon off nearly 14 percent of votes that surely would have gone to his contender. This is how the Republican Party eats itself.

Let me make a prediction. The race is going to be close. Decided by the thinnest of margins and a third-party faux libertarian candidate will once again run, being funded by the socialist democrats to ensure that a percentage that otherwise would have gone to the republicrats nets a win for them.

Just like the McAuliffe win and the Sen. Warner win, I sincerely hope Virginia will remember its past, get rid of Tim (the Joker) Kaine and Northam...
