Letter: The new year

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

As we go into 2024 we need to reflect upon everything God has done for us in 2023. It’s time to stop being foolish in the New Year, by trying to change our history for what it already is, because as I said in August 2020, it’s not going to do you any good to remove the Confederate monument and statues. History is going to stay the same throughout the years.

We also need to start being friendlier to one another, especially in public places such as the stores and libraries.

As for the New Year, I’m going to start fresh by being more focused on God for what he’s wanting me to do in my life, and be more helpful toward others, including at church.

I’m going to close by wishing you all a happy and healthy new year.
