Letter: The most awesome inexpensive gift

It’s the time of year when many of us are busy shopping for Christmas gifts. Over the years, we have become almost totally concerned with the material part of Christmas and have been ignoring the spiritual. The prime example is the mayhem that occurs on the day after Thanksgiving.

Many have forgotten that we live in two worlds, one physical (our body) and the other spiritual (our soul). The first world ends when we die. The other co-exists in the first, but lasts for all eternity. How we live in our physical world determined where we will spend eternity.

In Matthew 25:34-36 NKJV, Jesus told us to minister to people in need when He said, “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink …” We usually apply that Scripture to the physical world, but it also applies to the spiritual.

Some people hunger and thirst for love, acceptance although they aren’t perfect, the meaning of life, forgiveness for their sin...
