There is a lot to be happy about in the merry old month of May. For the first time ever the United States of America has a commission actively seeking out waste and fraud associated with how the government spends our tax dollars.
This is long overdue and I support its efforts regardless of whether the waste is found in social justice programs or the national defense budget.
The southern border of the United States of America is secure. Illegal immigration into this nation has dropped by 90 percent. This was done without creating 10,000 more pages of federal code, but just by enforcing the existing immigration laws. This is a refreshing lesson for all lawmakers at all levels of government. Curb your ego and just do your job. Sweeping changes are not necessary to address events that only happen once a generation.
