Letter: The greatest threat

Interesting to note that the Democrats are blamed for the decision of the 9th District Court of Appeals’ elimination of the word God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Of course, the First Amendment does stipulate “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,” making sure that people could worship (or not) as they choose.

The greatest threat to take away some of our freedom is the so-called Patriot Act (George W. Bush administration). Indeed, some will support the current president (43 percent, the lowest of any recent president for the same time period). Others will find fault with his performance.
