What can be offered to a world falling apart? Telling again the first story of us may help.

In the beginning was relationship. If only we understood the magnitude that was given to us from the beginning to be in relationship with the Creator of everything. God said (Genesis 1:26) “Let Us make man in Our image according to Our likeness…” This short story tells us both the profound good and bad news of who we are. From our beginning, we are created to be in relationships, to make choices freely and to manage responsibilities. Why? Because it was imbedded in the core of our image, the Image of God.

The story of the “Let Us” substance of the Triune God being within a relationship of extreme Love was not clarified at the time. That understanding came later, after man’s freedom repeatedly led most into bad choices, relationships and outcomes. It ended badly, as it is ending badly again.
