Letter: The definition of sedition

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Twice in the last month, Rob Wittman chose to support efforts to throw out the results of a valid, constitutional legal election.

That is the definition of sedition.

Had his efforts succeeded he and his accomplices would have invalidated not just the votes cast in the contested states, but the results of the entire election.

At the very least he should be censured along with all those complicit in his attempt, but resignation would also be a reasonable act of contrition. He does not deserve to continue to serve as our Congressman.
