Letter: The company you keep

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I thought the position of school board member was apolitical, and the person seeking the position should represent the interest of all students.

Students don’t vote, but their parents or guardians do. Will a candidate who allows their campaign poster to be placed in the same proximity of a flag that is commonly associated with the hatred and disrespect of a certain group and people be a representative of ALL our children?

I know that signs are usually placed on private property and the candidate may not have personally placed the sign, but you are judged by the company you keep.
