Mathews American Legion Post 83 and the Ladies Auxiliary would like to express our appreciation to all the volunteers who donated to and participated in the annual Legion Christmas Meals On Wheels program on Christmas Day. Over 42 Mathews residents (including the Sheriff’s Dispatcher) received a hot turkey meal with dessert, fruits and beverages on Christmas Day. A special thanks to the Mathews Maritime Foundation for the 2013 calendars for the recipients. Thanks, Mathews, for helping our own.
