This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week. Our PTSA, local businesses and local churches came out in force to support our teachers, and it was greatly appreciated. They provided the following events:

Monday—Breakfast provided by Francis de Sales Catholic Church; Lunch provided by the PTSA. Tuesday—Breakfast provided by the Continentals. Wednesday—Lunch provided by Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Thursday—Breakfast provided by Dr. Ben Lennon’s office. Friday—Lunch sponsored by Living Waters Church.

Chick-fil-A of Gloucester also provided a bundle of gifts for our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.

I’d like to encourage everyone in our community to support our local businesses, MHS PTSA and churches and thank them for their commitment to the students and teachers of Mathews High School.
