Letter: Thanks for supporting Apple Tree Project

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The Gloucester Department of Social Services would like to thank the members of our community for their generosity and support of this year’s Apple Tree Project.

Thanks to the considerable donations provided, school supplies were distributed to not only the foster children in Gloucester County, but also for the surrounding counties of Middlesex, Mathews, King and Queen, and King William.

The commitment to helping foster youth in our community, as well as the surrounding communities, is greatly appreciated. These donations ensured that children were well prepared to take on the school year, especially as they resume full-time in-person instruction.

A special thanks to Brad Hudgins and Luella Manning of Hudgins GMC, Sarah Cook of Walter Reed Hospital, The Abingdon Ruritan Club, BridgePoint Church, and Joyce Fatony with House of David.
