Letter: Thankful for God

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am thankful for God, who made me, and for my mother, who brought me in this world. For 69 years, I had a good life, but then I was told that I had the “C” word, cancer. With God beside me, I thought that we could beat this.

Since that time, with the help of the Gloucester Cancer Center, the people who work there and, especially, God, we are on the right road. I am extremely thankful for the nurses that I have encountered on this trip.  They are the best and they always have your best interest in mind.

I am thankful for my family and my church (Beech Grove Baptist Church), who have stuck by me during these times. At this time, I am at a point that we are waiting to see what the scans have to offer as to what we have to do. It is looking promising. I am thankful for my husband for all of the caregiving that he has done and continues to do.

With God, family, church and others, we will beat this, if it is in God’s will.
