Letter: Thankful for family and Gloucester

What I am thankful for: First, I am grateful for my family, my three grown children, my eight grandsons, my granddaughter and my two great-granddaughters, plus my wife Diane of many years. I am blessed and God has blessed me. I have lived in Gloucester for almost 50 years and I have traveled all over this country, but Gloucester is the best place to live and it has the best people. We don’t have riots, kilings, marches in the streets and racist people.

I stop at the 7-Eleven at Ordinary every morning for coffee and the people are always friendly and speak, people of all races, black, white, it doesn’t matter, they will open the door for me. I always say “Good Morning” and return the good will. I know them, and if a new person comes in, I make sure I say “Good Morning.” We are blessed, but some people are homeless and it is my understanding some churches are taking in these people.
